Admission Process at SSPAD
Bachelor of architecture colleges in Nagpur program is a five-year degree programme offered by Symbiosis School of Planning Architecture and Design which is top b arch colleges in india under the umbrella of FoAD – Faculty of Architecture and Design. The degree is awarded by the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune, which is established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 vide notification No. 9-12/2001-U.3 dated 10th November 2006 of UGC, Government of India.
The Bachelor of Architecture course is skillfully designed by Council of Architecture the legal statutory body of India. The thrust of the programme is interdisciplinary with a large canvas that includes Imagination, Technology and Social-science to explore the understanding to translate in buildings, neighborhood, cities, etc. The students shall be geared up for effectively developing visual perceptions of built environments and acquire professional attitudes to said projects and depict the critical, contextual, regional identities and awareness at large.
As per CoA norms for Academic Session 2021-22 (COA Notification- No.CA/01/2021/Academic/Circular-Eligibility dated March 24, 2021)-
- Qualify in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
- Passed in the 10+2 level of examinations with Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics subjects
OR
Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
25% (Twenty-five percent) seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Nagpur.
Meaning of "Nagpur Domiciled" Candidates for admission to UG programmes:
"Nagpur Domiciled" means persons, who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of 5 (five) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year, and who have class XII from Maharashtra State Board or equivalent exam or Degree certificate or are appearing for the qualifying examination of Nagpur University before admission to the programme.
- Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority (Collector`s office).
- Standard XII Marksheet. Applicants appearing Standard XII can submit Bonafide certificate from the current institution and Standard X Mark sheet.
- Last five year education documents which prove the Nagpur domicile category
All Indian students are required to register online for B. Arch programme of SSPAD, Nagpur
SSPAD fees could increase by, up to 10% during the period of the programme. Fees would also be impacted by any introduction / change in Government Taxes as and when applicable.
Note: In case of tie up between the final scores of candidates for merit list, the preference will be given to the candidate whose score is higher in Qualifying Aptitude Test.
- The above-mentioned fee is an annual fee and is generally payable in two installments.
- The fee would be accepted by NEFT / RTGS or by demand draft payable at Nagpur only and will have to be deposited by the candidate in the bank designated by Symbiosis School of Planning Architecture and Design through a challan.
- The students are required to pay the fees on or before the stipulated date. Late payment of fees by students (except at the time of admission) is allowed only in genuine cases. In such cases, the parent has to submit a written request to the Director and on approval has to pay the fees with a fine of Rs. 500/- per week within the approved period.
