Dr Nandini Kulkarni

Dr Nandini Kulkarni is currently the Officiating Director at the Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture and Design. She is a Doctorate and the Ph D was awarded her on “Investigating The Impact of Quality of Life on the Peri urban Area of Metro cities.”

With a Master's degree in Urban Planning from VNIT, and Bachelor of Architecture, she has also completed the Bachelor of Technology in Interior Design. With the vast experience in the field of Architecture, Planning and Interior Design, she has Independently completed the designing and construction of Residences, commercial buildings and Multispecialty Hospital Building. She has a specialisation in designing a module for the Urban –Rural fringe area development with respect to Quality of Life of the people residing in fringe areas.

Dr.Nandini is an author of a Book titled "The Urban Edges”. The book is an effort to evolve and present A humane approach for planning urban fringes / peri urban areas in Indian cities.

Dr Nandini has a wide experience of more than 25 years including professional Architectural practice and teaching . She is also a National awardee of Birla White “YuvaRatna” National award for three years and Birla White “YuvaRatna” Regional award for two years.
