Interior Space Design (ISD)

About the Course

The Interior Space Design (ISD) program at SSPAD is dedicated to shaping the next generation of interior designers by equipping students with the knowledge and skills to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing indoor environments. Focused on both theory and practical application, the program integrates principles of spatial planning, human-centered design, material selection, and creative problem-solving to design harmonious and sustainable interior spaces. The curriculum fosters a deep understanding of user needs, cultural influences, and environmental sustainability, ensuring that graduates are adept at transforming spaces into meaningful and well-designed environments.

Course Structure

The ISD program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering key aspects of interior design, including space planning, materials and finishes, furniture design, lighting, and sustainable design practices. Students will engage in a series of hands-on projects that enhance their understanding of interior design principles and spatial composition. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, design studios, workshops, and industry collaborations, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects. The final semester includes an industry-aligned project or self-initiated design project, providing practical exposure and networking opportunities within the interior design industry.
